GR22-Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves

On July 7-13, in Valencia, Spain, we attended the “22nd International Conference on General Relativity and Gravitation 13th Edoardo Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves”. Several hundred specialists from all world met there to discuss aspects of the gravity theory, cosmology, relativistic astrophysics, as well as numerical methods in relativity, and observational techniques of detection of gravitational wave sources and their cosmic environment. The astrophysics group at CTP PAS was represented by prof. Agnieszka Janiuk, with the presentations about Kerr metric evolution in the collapsing star, and the r-process nucleosynthesis in the outflows from binary neutron star merger remnant. The full programme and sessions, as well as photo gallery, can be viewed on this website.
